In this video, I’m going to show you how to record studio-quality electric guitar from home with my simple and inexpensive, 3-step process.
I want to show you that you can indeed get fantastic sounding electric guitar recordings from home, that rival recordings that you’d get out of a professional studio. And I’m even going to be using relatively budget equipment.
So as long as you’re starting off with a great tone, i.e. you’re happy with the sound of your guitar and amp, I’m going to show you how to best capture that tone for your music. If you don’t have an amp and you’re trying to get better DI recordings, you can find out how to get great recordings without an amp and mic here. But today, we’re miking up an amp.
The video is split into three parts. Firstly I’ll go over the gear that you need (with microphone recommendations). Secondly, I’ll show you how to set everything up to capture the best sound possible. And finally, we’ll be recording and you’ll get to hear the results in this video.
